Substitute homes in Bogotá
Program focused on finding substitute homes for children and adolescents. At FANA we invite you to open the arms of your family to provide a welcome full of love and care.
A Home of Love is a family that welcomes a child and/or adolescent who is under the protection of the ICBF. The host family will be in charge of providing a protective, respectful and loving environment on a temporary basis.
WHAT IS A HOME OF LOVE?
WHO CAN BE A HOME OF LOVE?
● Homes located in Bogotá with a family environment full of love, care and a family or extended support network.
● Be between 23 and 55 years old.
● Living in Bogotá
● Minimum bachelor's degree.
● Have adequate space in the home for the child or adolescent.
● Have time availability.
STAGES FOR BUILDING A HOME OF LOVE
● Application and verifications. (gestorhogares@fundacionfana.org)
● Visit and semi-structured interview.
● Psychological evaluation.
● Concept of approval.
COMMITMENTS OF THE SUBSTITUTE MOTHER OR FATHER
● Provide respectful, loving and quality care.
● Manage and accompany medical appointments or follow-ups with ICBF that are scheduled for the child or adolescent.
● Attend training and strengthening provided by FANA and ICBF.
● Maintain communication with FANA professionals about any news that may arise with the child or adolescent.
● Promote the academic process through accompaniment to school activities.
You can also offer love and protection to a child or adolescent.
